St. Vincent de Paul of Lane County’s social service programs provide a continuum of care — from emergency assistance and shelter to affordable housing and self-sufficiency — so that every person in our community has the opportunity to live with dignity and hope.
Emergency Services
SVdP delivers an array of resources and services — with the fewest possible access barriers — to provide shelter, food, safety, material and financial assistance, and other forms of tangible help to those experiencing homelessness and poverty.
Egan Warming Centers
Egan Warming Centers activate when temperatures drop below 30 degrees Fahrenheit, November through March. Sites include Mohawk (Springfield), Lane Events Center (796 W 13th Ave), The Zone (530 Hwy 99), Youth Site at First United Methodist (1376 Olive St), and Transport Hub at First Christian Church (1166 Oak St). Doors open at 7PM (youth at 6PM). Meals, sleeping spaces, blankets, and animal-friendly. Average 15 nights per year.

Eugene Service Station

Open 8:30AM-5PM daily. Day shelter providing food, clothing, laundry, showers, and supplies. Breakfast at 8:30AM, Lunch at 12PM (Wed 11AM). Showers/laundry 8:30AM-12PM, 2-5PM.
Needs: Blankets, sleeping bags, socks, hygiene supplies, coffee.
Shelter Assistance
St. Vincent de Paul has shelter programs that help families and individuals experiencing homelessness in Lane County. These programs offer safe, dignified places to sleep and connect participants with services to help them move toward permanent housing.
410 Garfield Safe Sleep
86 heated spaces plus 6 Conestoga huts for pets. Amenities include mat, tent, sleeping pad, blankets, heater, chair, and storage. Indoor gathering areas with TV and dining. Showers, medical access, and monthly laundry cards.

310 Garfield Safe Sleep
Approximately 55 vehicles for people sheltering in cars and RVs. Located on LTD property leased by the City. Two warmed common spaces with kitchen. Fenced with restrooms, electricity, and sewer access.

Dusk to Dawn
125-guest emergency shelter in heated communal tents. Year-round, low-barrier, no time limits. Dinner served at Service Station, breakfast provided. Case management available.
Access: Visit Eugene Service Station (450 Hwy 99N) at 2PM for bed assignment.
Night Shelter Annex
Low-barrier family shelter at First Place Family Center, 4060 W Amazon Dr, Eugene 97405. Individual dorm units with laundry, showers, and meals.

Overnight Parking Program
Safe parking for people living in vehicles. Provides a designated, secure location for individuals and families to park overnight with access to basic amenities and connections to services.
Youth and Family Services
St. Vincent de Paul provides life-stabilizing services to families with children under the age of 18, including emergency services, overnight and day shelter. Youth and Family Services offer wraparound case management support and advocacy to meet the unique needs of families experiencing homelessness.
First Place Family Center

Approximately 100 parents, youth, and children use the center daily. Services include showers, laundry, food, referrals, internet/phone access, mailing address, clothing vouchers, and ID assistance.
First Place Kids

Licensed preschool for ages 2-5, free for eligible families. Play-based, trauma-informed curriculum. Head Teacher: Jamie Williams.
The Youth House
13 private studio apartments for youth ages 16-24 exiting foster care. Referrals from ODHS and Looking Glass. Residents receive mentorship, life-skills training, and case management.

Affordable Housing Services
SVdP provides quality, affordable rental housing to low-income individuals and families in Lane, Marion, and Multnomah counties. Since 1988, we have developed more than 1,600 units and currently manage approximately 1,500.

Since 1988, St. Vincent de Paul has developed multi-family housing for low-income families, seniors, and people with disabilities. We have developed more than 1,600 units across Lane, Marion, and Multnomah counties.
Rental Properties
SVdP’s Property Management department oversees 28 rental properties from waitlist to leasing, ensuring quality affordable housing for the community.

VIDA (Individual Development Accounts)
Matched savings program for homeownership, vehicle purchase, education, or home repair. Waitlist is 12-24 months.

Supported Work Experience
90-day TANF program providing low-barrier employment opportunities. Referral from DHS caseworker required. Participants gain job skills, work history, and confidence.
Regional Housing Rehabilitation
Home repair loans for small cities and unincorporated Lane County. Health and safety repairs only. Income must be at or below 80% of area median.
